SHIPPING POLICY

At Gems À La Carte, we take great care in packaging and shipping every order securely. Due to the nature and value of fine jewelry, all shipments are handled with insured and signature-required delivery services.

By placing an order with Gems À La Carte, you agree to the following shipping terms and conditions.

  1. PROCESSING TIMES

Ready-to-ship items are typically processed within 1–5 business days unless otherwise stated.

Custom-made, personalized, made-to-order, redesigned, or special-order pieces require production time prior to shipment. Estimated production timelines are provided during the ordering process and may vary depending on design complexity, sourcing availability, holidays, supplier timelines, or unforeseen production delays.

Processing times and shipping transit times are separate.

  1. SHIPPING METHODS

All domestic shipments are sent fully insured through FedEx.

All packages are shipped with:

  • Full shipment insurance

  • Signature confirmation required upon delivery

  • Tracking information

  • Secure packaging

For security reasons, we do not ship high-value jewelry without signature confirmation.

  1. SIGNATURE REQUIRED

An adult signature is required for all deliveries without exception.

By placing an order, the client acknowledges and accepts responsibility for ensuring someone is available to receive and sign for the package at the delivery address provided.

Gems À La Carte is not responsible for missed deliveries, delivery delays, or returned shipments resulting from failed delivery attempts or unavailable recipients.

  1. SHIPPING ADDRESS ACCURACY

Clients are solely responsible for providing accurate shipping and contact information at checkout.

Once an order has been processed or shipped, we may not be able to modify the delivery address.

Gems À La Carte is not responsible for delays, losses, or delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the client.

  1. INSURANCE & RISK OF LOSS

All shipments are insured while in transit through the shipping carrier.

Responsibility and risk of loss transfer to the client upon confirmed delivery, signature acceptance, or pickup by the designated recipient.

If tracking information confirms delivery and signature confirmation has been completed, Gems À La Carte is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or missing packages.

  1. SHIPPING DELAYS

Delivery timelines provided by Gems À La Carte or the shipping carrier are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions

  • Carrier disruptions

  • Customs processing

  • Natural disasters

  • Holidays

  • Security holds

  • Incorrect addresses

  • Failed delivery attempts

  • Circumstances outside our control

  1. HIGH-VALUE SHIPMENTS

For security purposes, certain high-value orders may require:

  • Additional identity verification

  • Delayed shipment approval

  • Restricted delivery options

  • Hold-for-pickup services at authorized carrier locations

Gems À La Carte reserves the right to refuse shipment to addresses deemed unsafe, unverifiable, or high-risk.

  1. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or additional country-specific charges determined by the destination country.

These fees are the sole responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the purchase price or shipping charges unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Gems À La Carte is not responsible for customs delays, import restrictions, or additional international carrier charges.

  1. LOST, STOLEN, OR DAMAGED PACKAGES

If a package appears damaged upon arrival, the client must contact Gems À La Carte within 24 hours of delivery and retain all original packaging materials.

Claims related to shipping damage, loss, or theft may require investigation with the carrier and are subject to carrier approval and insurance procedures.

Gems À La Carte reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution on a case-by-case basis.

  1. REFUSED OR RETURNED SHIPMENTS

If a shipment is refused, unclaimed, returned to sender, or undeliverable due to client-related circumstances, additional shipping fees, insurance fees, handling charges, or restocking fees may apply.

Custom, personalized, made-to-order, resized, engraved, or final sale items remain non-refundable even if returned or refused.

  1. LOCAL DELIVERY & PICKUP

Local pickup or courier delivery options may be available for select Miami-area clients by appointment only.

Clients selecting local pickup are responsible for inspecting and accepting the item at the time of release.
