Refund policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@gemsalacarte.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 169 E Flagler Street Suite 1531. Miami, Florida 33131. United States.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom made products (such as special orders or personalized items). Engraved or embossed products, custom, and personalized products (including initials, lettering, birthstones and custom sizes) are FINAL SALE and cannot be exchanged or returned for store credit. Due to the variations in size, all rings ordered online are considered special orders and are subject to a 15% restocking fee if an exchange is requested or if you request to cancel a ring that is still in production. Any variation in size, color or customization that is not available for “as-is” purchase on our website is considered a custom order and is FINAL SALE. Merchandise showing signs of wear, resizing, or damage in any way will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender (at the sender's expense).

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. 

Exchange process for orders:

  • Put your jewelry in a shipping box along with your exchange form. Jewelry must be returned in the original packaging.
  • Attach your pre-paid label to the shipping box.
  • Bring your packaged box to a UPS or FedEx, depending on the label provided.
  • For domestic exchanges you will be charged shipping on your new order if it is under $500.
  • For international orders you will be charged for return shipping and shipping on your new order.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Piercing Party Disclaimer & Final Sale Policy

By purchasing and/or receiving a piercing service and jewelry through Gems À La Carte, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following:

All piercing jewelry sales are FINAL SALE without exception due to hygiene and sanitary reasons. No returns, exchanges, or refunds will be accepted on pierced jewelry or piercing services.

Gems À La Carte is not responsible for any issues related to the healing process of the piercing, including but not limited to infections, irritation, swelling, allergic reactions, rejection, migration, improper healing, or complications resulting from improper handling or aftercare.

The client understands that proper healing depends on following the aftercare instructions provided by the professional piercer at the time of the appointment. It is solely the client’s responsibility to properly care for the piercing and follow all recommended aftercare guidelines.

Gems À La Carte and its affiliates make no guarantees regarding healing times or healing outcomes, as each individual heals differently.

By proceeding with the piercing service and/or jewelry purchase, the client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with body piercings and releases Gems À La Carte, its owners, employees, contractors, collaborators, and piercing professionals from any liability, claims, damages, or medical issues arising from the piercing procedure, healing process, aftercare, or jewelry use.

Gems À La Carte reserves the right to refuse an exchange/repair of any purchase made that does not meet the above requirements.
