Production & Processing Time

In-stock pieces are processed within 3 business days.

Most custom-made, bespoke, or made-to-order designs require approximately 6–9 weeks for production, depending on complexity.

Each product page specifies the estimated timeline, so we encourage you to review the details before placing your order.

If you require a rush order, please email info@gemsalacarte.com and our team will let you know if an expedited timeline can be accommodated.

Please note: selecting a faster shipping option does not accelerate the production time of a made-to-order piece.

Insured Shipping

Once your piece is complete, you will receive an email with tracking information.

All Gems À La Carte shipments are fully insured, and any package valued at $500 USD or more will require a signature upon delivery.

This requirement cannot be waived due to the high value and security of fine-jewelry shipments.

If a package is returned to us after multiple failed delivery attempts, the customer is responsible for any costs associated with reshipping or returning the parcel to Gems À La Carte.

International prices and shipping charges do not include:

These fees are the responsibility of the recipient, who acts as the importer of record and must comply with all local regulations.

Gems À La Carte is not responsible for Customs delays, additional costs, or packages refused due to government-required fees.

If delivery is refused, any costs incurred to return the piece to us will be charged to the purchaser.

Gems À La Carte fine jewelry is crafted in solid gold and made to last, but every luxury piece deserves proper care to preserve its beauty over time. To keep your jewelry looking pristine, please follow these care guidelines:

Daily Wear

Remove your jewelry before routine activities such as:

• Showering or bathing
  
• Applying lotions, perfumes, oils, or self-tanner
  
• Exercising or sweating
  
• Cleaning, cooking, or washing dishes
  
• Swimming (pools, hot tubs, ocean)
  

Chemicals, abrasives, and impact can damage the metal, stones, or settings.

Storage

Before going to sleep, lay your jewelry flat on a soft fabric surface or store each piece separately in a lined jewelry pouch or box.

This prevents tangling, scratching, and unnecessary friction between chains and gemstones.

Cleaning

To clean solid gold and diamonds:

• Use a soft toothbrush, warm water, and a mild dish soap.
  
• Gently scrub the metal and diamond areas, then rinse and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
  
• We do not recommend ultrasonic cleaners, especially for pavé or delicate settings.
  

Gemstones

Semi-precious stones and pearls require special care:

• Do not expose them to chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
  
• Avoid steamers and ultrasonic devices.
  
• Clean gently with warm water and a soft cloth only.
